Study On The Correlation Between The Coping Style And Stress Reaction Of College Students

Content:The purpose of the study was to kown more about the festures of the stress coping and stress reaction and the correlation between them,based on this,it was hoped to provide the supplements for the stress theory and guidance for the practical working.The research used the way of questionnaire ,546 college students were studied by using stress reaction questionnaire and xiaojihua's coping styles scale.T test,One-way ANOVA and partial correlation were used to analyse the questionnaire.The results of the study in the following aspects:1,The style of stress coping that college students were tend to use were problem solving,help-seeking,avoidance,fancy,rationalization successively. The girls were tend to use the style of help-seeking . The students of community university use the way of help-seeking and self-blame more than others. The students of ordinary university use the way of fancy more than others. Students from city used the style of fancy more than students from countryside. Senior students used the styles of help-seeking and avoidance more than others.2,The stress reaction of the college students was less mainly,physiological and emotional problem(factor1) was most serious,secondly was the declining of the study ability(factor2) and thechancing of temperament(factor3) ,lastly was the conception of being weary of the life and world(factor4). The girls shown more physiological and emotional problems than boys. The students of community university were serious on factor3 more than others. City students were more serious than countryside students on factor 2. There was no significant difference about stress reaction among the four grades.3,The total correlation shown that problem-solving correlate negatively with the four factors of stress reaction,but avoidance correlate positively with the four factors.Self-blame correlate positively with the factor 2/3/4.Rationalizing correlate positively with the factor 3.Help-seeking and fancy had nothing to do with the stress reaction. The style of problem solving was more effective to girls than to boys but the self-blame influence boys more seriously. The style of rationalization had positive influence on the factor 2 of boys'and potive influence on the factor 3 of the girls'.The style of self-blame correlated significantly with factor2/3/4 of the country students but had nothing to do with city students.Self-blame correlated significantly with stress reaction of junior.Rationalization correlated significantly with factor 2 of sophomore .
