Seven Spanish Folksong, the typical Spanish music style workcomposed by Spanish composer Manuel De Falla, possesses a rich Spanishculture characteristics and fully reveals the composer's excellent creationability and skills, and also specially tries singers' singing ability andtechniques. But in most of the music schools, Spanish songs and musicworks are much less concerned and studied by singing students thanItalian, Dutch and French ones. The purpose of this article is to providesome reference for singers and teaching staffs to better understand the20th-century Spanish music style and properly interpret Spanish songs.Based on the analysis of the creation features, this article tries toexplore an appropriate way to understand the connotation of the song, tointerpret the song and to express the truth and spirit of Spanish music.The article consists of introduction, text and conclusion. Theintroduction expatiates on the significance and current situation of thissubject. The text includes three parts, which are the social background ofthe Spanish music developing in 19th and early 20th century and theintroduction of Manuel De Falla's personal life and works for the first part,the analysis of their creation features deriving from the use of Spanish folkmusic factors in the seven songs for the second part and the elaboration ofthe seven song's singing skills for the last part. The conclusion summarizesthe article and puts forward prospects.
