The Korean Revival Army Fought Against Japanese In Eastern China

As we all know, Japan annexed Korea in 1910 and had slaved millions of Koreans until to the year of 1945 when the World War II ended. During that 36-year-long conquered period, Koreans who were not willing to be the people of a conquered nation had never given up the struggle against Japanese colonial domination all over the world, and the Korean Independence Movement progressed in China is a very important part. The Korean Revival Army that was founded in Chongqing in Sept. 1940, fought against Japanese in China was a great part in the Korean independence movement. It was also an important part of Korean modern history. Japan was surrendered without any conditions in august of the year 1945. The Korea Provisional Government was dismissed, and the revival army was dismissed to return Korea in the name of individual person. Though it was away from the mainland, the Korean Revival Army's recruiting acquired definite achievements in China with the recruitment branches'endeavor. In the thesis, it investigates and analyses the Korean Revival Army's activities, the recruiting center ---East China Area.This thesis consists of three parts, namely: the preface, the main body, the concluded remarks. The preface reviews the research situation at home and abroad about the Korean Revival Army, the study significance and the methods of this research.The body is made up of three parts. The first part introduces the background and brief process of the Korean revival army's founding in China, and this part systematically introduces and analyses the work's spreading out after the Korean Revival Army's founding, especially the situation that many recruiting branches were established. In order to put into Chinese struggle against Japan, the Korean Provisional Government established the Korean Revival Army. After the Revival Army founded, they directly took part in the war of resistance against Japan in military affairs and politics, they conducted the propaganda against Japan, revived the country to increase its political influence, even dispatched the team in Indian-Burma war zone in the later war time to coordinate British army, took part in the us army OOS special training. During this time, the Korean Revival Army actively developed work to recruit overseas compatriots and soldiers from Korean against Japanese army. They set up recruitment branches in the Chinese frontline against Japan.The second part discusses the revival army recruiting the 3rd branch's setting up, its activities, the recruiting work, as well as its merits. The 3rd branch founded in Chongqing on the 1st March of 1941, was dispatched to Shangrao, Jiangxi. They made great contribution to the local resistance cause against Japan with the 3rd war zone's soldiers and the people .The 3rd Branch was recomposed as the Korean Revival Army the 3rd Troop Unit of the 3rd Area Troop of the 2nd Detachment on the 1st October of 1942 . The 3rd branch's recruiting acquired definite achievements.The third part expounds the recruiting 6th Branch's setting up, its activities, recruiting situation as well as the recruiting achievements. The 6th Branch was founded in Fuyang, Anhui in the spring of 1942, they moved about Xuzhou, Guide, Huaiyang, Jinan etc, with the base of Fuyang. The Revival Army established the 3rd Detachment in the spring of 1945 on the basis of the Recruitment 6th Branch. Compared with other branches, it got good achievements. The reasons were concluded as the following below: <1 >setting up recruiting branch in this place show the correct strategy; <2> the powerful leadership from recruiting director Jinxuekui; <3 >the situation of Anhui's war of resistance against Japan brought about the long-term, large-scale guerrilla war, it gave the Revival Army a chance to go deep into the front and enemy rear area to develop the work.In the end, on the basis of summary, such conclusions are drawn as following: the Korean Revival Army's resistance against Japan obtained biggish success in China, and it's recruiting also acquired definite achievements. After the founding of the Korean Revival Army in china, the movement of the resistance against Japan to revive the country was a part of international anti-fascist struggle, and it was also an attempt that the Koreans wanted to establish their own armed forces. The war of struggle against Japan in East China Area made its own contribution to Chinese victory of the resistance against Japan, it leaved behind glary spoor, and it was the historical witness of national traditional friendship between China and Korea.
