The Study Of "Women Literature"(1989-1999)

The new-vernacular literature periodical was considered continuously as the literature production and the dissemination which most has the system characteristic, simultaneously occupies the dominant position in the cultural forms. The literature space it constitutes is unable to be replaced by other medias. Thus the literature periodical is an important constituent in a literature constitution. There are very many achievements about the periodical research recent years, but there is no research in the feminine literature, this paper is an attempt. "Women Literature" was the only national feminine literature periodical, then how did it express its own sound ? what changes did it experience? why did it change? and what did literature periodical mean? These are the key points in my study.The present paper uses the methods of the historical data study which are collection and collation historical data. Another method is the text analysis. The study object of the "Women Literature" is the periodical from 1989 to 1999. I considered 1989,1996 and 1999 as the concrete viewpoint for my study. Through the study of constitutions of the "Women Literature"(1989-1999), which are editorial department, the advertising department, the creation troop and the publication, I discovered that "Women Literature" has trained quantities of female writers. These female writers have became famous writers in the contemporary literary arena in at that time or later. Especially, the periodical collect many women writers who are important persons in 90's literature. They effected women literature later, especially the write-ways of women writer. In the 80's and 90's times, many literal periodical were assumed to take responsibilities for their own profits and losses. The survival is difficult, and many periodicals catched up with the edition correction tide. And "Women Literature" was also to be eliminated in the keen competition, it lost its own characters. Then, "Women Literature" also changed from literal periodical into comprehensive periodical magazine. This is the result of production of the literal periodical chose to marketability reforming. "Women Literature" reforming has the representation in literature periodical reforms which has not been noted. The changes and the stage characteristics manifested the 80'and 90's reforming time in China society. It also reflected the change and the trend of the contemporary literature, that is to say, the elegant and vulgar literature have to communicated even they seep mutually, thus the question of the independence of literature is also following.The independence of literature is dependence of political rights and economical rights, but present literature is depend of economy in some degree. So the dependence of literature is more important in development of literature. If that, literature will has a free and healthy space.The paper has analyzed changes of "Women Literature" (1989-1999) in the publication objective, the edition policy and editorial department'. In the whole, this chapter described contributions of the publication. The second chapter mainly studied three stages'characteristics t and the intrinsic changes of the"Women Literature'(1989-1999), I took out columns which could manifest each stage's characteristic as the object of study, I mainly analyzed the concrete process and the manifestation of"Women Literature"(1989-1999) which transformed from literature publication to comprehensive periodical magazine. The third chapter analyzed two reforming exterior and internal reasons of the periodical. The surface reason is the reform of the periodical to adopt to the market, then the deep reason is literature production mechanism marketability reforming causes the change which the literature occurs, the literature periodical is compelled to change, in turn, this change reflects changes of literature's own.
