Art And The World Of Life

World of life ("Welt") is the very important and basic concept in Heidegger's ontological philosophy. In the early period, he regarded it was an integration of people and the world, which have the structure of "In-Sein" and "In-der-Welt-sein" . In medium period he regarded it was that World and the Earth are depending and combating each other. At last, he views it as "Earth and sky, divinities and mortals", which are dancing together. In this process, Heidegger had experienced a very hard way, which could show that as a great thinker, Heidegger cared so much about men's existing and destiny. The real world which the four parts is a unity is a basic concept of Heidegger's ontology aesthetics, and gave aesthetic study a very solid foundation. So it ended the modern western aesthetics, and started the later-modern western aesthetics.Heidegger's concept of "earth and sky, divinities and mortals" aims at fighting against the technical world nowadays, because this science world made the people and the world separate, and against the human centralism. So he wanted to rescue the world, because science had made man and world cut separate. Nowadays the God has been hidden, the divinities had gone, and man has no home to go back. As a rescue way, Heidegger put the art for a highest place; art is the basic event for the living people, because he believe that human's being is poetical in the basis. The human and the world were the one in the origin. Art could open a place for being's meaning clearly, so it could call us to remember the real world, dwelling in the world poetically. He believed that in the art the real world could be opened, the earth could be saved. The art has the function of unconcealling and saving and gathering. In the art, "earth and sky, divinities and mortals" could open to each other; Beautiful, kind and truth could combine together. So it could make people dwell poetically on the earth.Heidegger's ontology aesthetics has transcended the western traditional aesthetics; they share many common points between his art thoughts and Chinese traditional aesthetics. So it can give us plenty means for us to build our own modern aesthetics theory.
