| In the uneasy life of Liu Yuxi, a poet who lived in the middle of Tang Dynasty, the city of Chang'an had always played a very important part, for whether he stayed in Chang'an or inhabited in other provinces, Chang'an had forever being an unchanged complex in the poet's heart. Therefore ,Chang'an had become an outstanding element for the poet when he created poems. For example , Liu Yuxi's poems that related with Chang'an take about 43℅ of the total poems that he wrote. Furthermore, these poems can reflect the different stages in Liu Yuxi's life. This thesis mainly chooses the poems of Liu Yuxi that concerning with Chang'an as the target for research——the activities the poet did when he entered and left the capital city of Chang'an, the specific custom of the city and some of the political issues within the city——all these factors, if properly analyzed within the contents, emotional feelings as well as Liu Yuxi's thoughts that were manifested in his poems, will prove the intimate relationship between Liu Yuxi's works and the region of Chang'an.The main body of this thesis contains three parts: In the first part, through some descriptions of the poet's life experiences in Chang'an, the impact from some specific custom of Chang'an to Liu Yuxi's poem will be analyzed. In the second part, the impact from politics will be analyzed as Liu Yuxi participated in political activities in Chang'an. In the third part, relationship between Liu Yuxi's experiences in Chang'an and his feelings for his creation of the poem will be portrayed when two aspects, namely, the"heart for government"and"dream back to Chang'an"are analyzed as the poet left for other provinces. |
