The focus of this paper is the switch from modern epistemology to contemporary existential philosophy realized by Hegelianism. The reason why Hegel is able to penetrate metaphysics of ideology and transcend to the substantial world in which the objective and the subjective are blended lies in the phenomenology initiated by him. The interpretation of Hegel's ideology from the perspective of existential philosophy is quite different from the usual understanding of his philosophy as objective idealism. The new interpretation better displays Hegel's spirit of"real substantiality"and his transcendence from enlightening reason to spiritual reason. The major approach adopted in this paper is to"reveal"rather than to expound and prove.The different understanding toward Hegelianism is the different attitude to modernity. Enlightenment and modernity were born with the opposition against them. Most opposite opinions about the enlightenment have hardly transcended the structural unconsciousness of modernity of enlightenment. Yet Hegel had an insight into the abstruse background against which the light of enlightenment illuminated, thus grasping the essence of enlightenment and realizing the brilliant transcendence of predicament of the modernity of enlightenment.This paper begins with the criticism on Kant's transcendental idealism in order to reveal Hegelian existential theories and phenomenology, the purpose of which is to incarnate logos which eliminates the relationship between the subjective and the objective. Kant's philosophy is the theory system of Enlightenment. The predicament of Kant's transcendental reason reveals the self-concealment of enlightenment. Hegel understood the truth which Kant met without identification. The drawbacks of consciousness philosophy is subjectivity-for-itself and finity, and consciousness philosophy thinks it impossible to find the truth of being thing-in-itself and thing-for-itself. Hegel discovered the mysterious dark spirit behind light of consciousness, thus realized the brilliant transcendence of subjectivity of consciousness.Hegel's transcendence does not lie in the accord of consciousness and thing-in-itself in the regard to epistemological sense, but lies in the transcendence from subjective consciousness world to the substantial world in which the subjective and the objective are blended. Therefore considering Hegelianism as the completion of epistemology is Enlightenment understanding to Hegel's philosophy, and shelters Hegel's "spirit". And the key for Hegel to switch from epistemology to existential theories is Hegel's phenomenology. Kant's Phenomenon is an idea-body for-itself, and its scale of truth is the thing - in-itself beyond consciousness. However, subjective consciousness for-itself is unable to achieve thing-in-itself. Hegel's consciousness, similar to Kant's consciousness from the surface, still gets entangled in the opposition of the subjective and the objective and disturbed by the external. But Hegel had an insight into the abstruse background against which the light of consciousness illuminated, which is the criterion and creator of consciousness----Spirit. Mind is the unity of substance and self-consciousness, the blending of the subjective and the objective, which means that the truth of consciousness is not to understand the object-in-itself, but to transcend consciousness itself, that achieve to the really real and substantial living world , conceptual world, in which the objective and the subjective achieve reconciliation ,internal and transcendence are blended. What is important, since light of consciousness is from mysterious dark spirit, consciousness is phenomenon by which the spirit opens itself and manifests itself. The spirit inhabits phenomenon and the absolute fall to consciousness. The truth-scale of consciousness is inherent in its own. The phenomenon of consciousness is no longer the pure subjectivity-for-itself, but the essence of being thing-in-itself and thing-for-itself. Therefore, the understanding of consciousness about the absolute truth is to co-exist with truth, co-live with absoluteness.In Hegelianism, consciousness is no longer subjectivity-for-itself, but is rooted in its essence of mind, thus a new subject of consciousness appearing----the being-in-itself for consciousness, namely, manifester. Yet as a direct presentation of being, natural consciousness itself and the direct knowledge about being are phenomenal knowledge or"opinion"which gets entangled in the opposition of the subjective and the objective. However, natural consciousness roots its nature --the spirit, and existent also must have its root --nature of existence. Therefore natural consciousness, suffered from the "violence" of spiritual nature, will be progress and change, and may emerge its spirit in the gathered state. Meanwhile, existent also may be gathered in the existence. Correspondence with this, natural consciousness and opinion directly perceived existent, and the existence– Spirit's idea is associated with the integration. Despite there is the campaign that consciousness approach to and gather to its nature-truth .But natural consciousness does not seem to find the campaign's occurrence secretly behind it, needless to say, consciously look at such a connection and gathering. So consciousness is the essence of itself and in return consciousness self-conceals its essence. Consciousness itself is self comparison and investigation conducted by knowledge and truth.The self-investigation made by consciousness itself is the dialectical movement it exerts on itself. And the transition in which consciousness roots in its essence and constantly erodes its finiteness is experience. As the presentation of the manifester, experience is the movement through which consciousness realizes its substantiality and the way by which consciousness goes to its concept. As existence of existent, the experience is being of consciousness. Therefore the campaign that experience gathers consciousness to the essence of the truth is self-assemblement of consciousness because of its inherent nature of dialogue. Experience is the essence of dialectics.Experience, which happens behind consciousness, is the key to the switch from conscious philosophy to existential theories. This happening is self-blooming of consciousness due to the contradictory that it rooted in its nature in return it shielded its essence. Therefore, consciousness will be bound to get rid of the opposition of the subjective and the objective, making for the Mind in which the subjective and objective are in unity, internal and transcendence are in harmony. And the assemblage of consciousness toward its essence---- the nature of truth, is to move forward to the real living world, a pure, unconcealed conceptual world.The substance of idea is not that Kant's subjective category obtains an objective form, but that concept is incarnated, and that thinking and being integrated shows concrete. The substance of absolute concept is really the reality, which is the existence removing shelter of the illusion and reverting to thought. Idea is the reconciliation of "die Tiefe" and the "enlightenment", the reunification of "time" and "extension", therefore it is really the reality linking up intrinsic and extrinsic, and reaching clarity integration. Idea is not just an ideological body, and with it, the existence of self-clarity. As the unification of concept and objectivity, idea should not be regarded as the objective idealism, but Ontological understanding. Only in the conceptual world, human should arrive at a concrete existence. And only in absolute knowledge, the absolute spirit will attain the idea. Before reaching absolute knowledge, human exist abstractly and with alienation in the world.
