There are lots of researches on both of them, however, most of the researches related to their lives and their works, not to the relations between both of them.As the most famous writer in Bei-song Dynasty, Su Shi keeps tight touch with lots of persons all of his life, such as Huang Ting-jian, Qin Guan, Chao Bu-zhi, Zhang Lei, who are called"four scholars of Su", and Chen Shi-dao, Li Yan, who are called"six gentlemen of Su". There has been the sepical research between Su Shi and the five persons expect Qin Guan. So, this paper put the energy on the friendship between them.SS and QG met each other on the 1087, and we can know the source from the book of Leng Zhai Ye Hua written by Shi Hui-hong. QG respects SS, but he has no chance to know him. Then QG heard of the news that SS would reach WeiYang, so he wrote one poem on the wall of one temple on the name of SS, to the surprise, SS can not tell. Later another person introduced QG to SS, and then just for the beautiful story they have pride of each other.In 1078, QG dropped on SS in Xu Zhou, on the way of Jing Cheng for entrance exam. Su Shi showed his idea that he wanted to meet Qin Guan in the letter. June 25, Sushi went to Leizhou and communicated with Qin Guan. Qin Guan has given a "Jiangchengzi" narrating his feeling—joy tempered with sorrow. On 25, they parted. On August, after staying at Rongzhou a few days, Qin Guan was escorted to Hengzhou. Being intruded by illness, Qin Guan died in Tengzhou on August 21. Dongpo and his friend Jianzhong have condoled with Qin Guan?s death. On July, as Su Shi died in Changzhou, the Friendship between them has come to a close.From the narration above, we can learn the thread of friendship between Su Shi and Qin Guan. The literal parts with their touch are also the important part of their friendship, like the lots of the poems and articles they wrote to each other. Though we can't know the ancients, plant of works, such as poems, articles, letters and so on, took the views, motions and friendship of them.
