This article is based on the texts of nine movies directed by Feng xiaogang during the passing 10 years. From the cross-cultural aspect, it will objectively scrutinize the advantages and disadvantages the Globalization brings to the Chinese movies, analyze how the Chinese movie maker such as Feng xiaogang do in cross-cultural communication, and reflect their cultural identities and strategies in the communication. And the purpose is to try to seek the Global tactics for Chinese movies and the methods of communication between our films and the whole world. This article is divided into three parts:In the first part, I will systematically elaborate how the film globalization influence the Chinese movies and what kinds of strategies the Chinese movies makers take to face it. The Globalization in cultural area brings two extreme effects: cultural similarity and cultural diversity. Cultural homogeny and cultural neterogeny, and the relationship of opposition and unity between Globalization and Localization are the cores of the development in humanity's culture. In that process, multicultural system will be our aim. In American culture, the Hollywood movies, specifically superior and not paralleled, have had an important effect in the film circle in China and other areas. In order to interacting with the whole world, generations of our filmmakers have sacrificed their lives in their carrier. This article will present in detail the environment of Global culture the Chinese film filmmakers have to face, which serves for analyzing Feng xiaogang's movies.In the second part, I will reflect Feng xiaogang's stratics he takes to face the Globalization of the film industry by analyzing identity toward the localization. In the time of Globalization., the opposition between the countryside and the city finally shows the opposition between the East and the West. So we will get a restricted view of Feng's cultural identity by understanding his idea about the countryside and the city. in the Feng's films, we can grasp the essence of our real life, the difference between the ambition and the reality, and the imagination of constructing a harmonious community. These can be understood by ordinary people. The mainstream of Chinese films is focusing on the reality and recalling the passing days, which may resist the influence of the western culture. In the third part, I will reconsider Feng xiaogang's strategy bay analyzing the new characters in his film an the new movie "Big Shot's Funeral" and "The Banquet" in the time of Globalization. The developing countries hope to protect their culture and at the same time have to accept some principles in western countries. With the entry of WTO, Chinese film makers try to reform the film industry to stand up to the Hollywood pressure. But there are still companies of foreign countries invest to make many Chinese films. What's more, Hollywood has set his foot in the Chinese film circle. And Feng xiaogang, from the ordinary one to the well-known celebrity, is not the representative of only Chinese culture.
