PE as a cultural phenomenon, its formation and development are closelylinked with the progress of human culture. The patterns of sport development fromdifferent places and nations are the inevitable results of culture inherent nature. Therefore,from studies on different regional sports from the perspective of human geography, wewill deepen understanding of its development laws and grasp its future developmentdirections.Accordingly, researches on factors, which resulted in changes from local culture intomainstream culture, have not only theoretical but also practical significances for studyingregional traditional sport and achieving exchange and fusion of the eastern and westernsport culture.In the present paper, we conducted a basic study on the representative selections ofmilitary sports, folk sports and health preserving sports, in order to explain the reasons ofQilu sport culture changes from the local into the mainsteam and analyze the integrationand differentiation of Qi sport culture and Lu sport culture, the geographical features ofQilu sport culture, the relationship between the enviroment and sport culture, the sportculture propagation lines and trends, and human behavior system based on Qilu sportculture, including folk traditions, economy, religion, literature, art, social organizations,and so on.The data used in this paper could be summarized as follows: the total geographicalchronicles, the local chronicles, the history, the collection, the note, the novel, and thearchaeological information.The results of the studies were as follows:(1)During pre-Qin period, influenced by social needs and people's values, militarysports were unprecedented prosperous, meanwhile folk sports also were in the service ofthe wars. In Qilu area, military sports active folk sports, and the latter also affected thedevelopment of military sports.(2) Pre-Qin period was the cornerstone of the development of sport in ancient China.The traditional sports constantly enriched because of special social,historicalenvironment and variable lifestyles, and the Qilu sports was increasingly popular, which promoted the development of sport culture in ancient China.(3) During pre-Qin period, folk sports popular in the Qilu area were fusion withfestival custom, forming manifold festival sports and affecting the ancient festivalcustom deeply, and the combination between custom culture and sport values deepenedthe geographic feature of sport culture, which was the core part of Qilu sport culture.(4) During pre-Qin period, the Qilu area was the important region of academic andcultural development in ancient China, and also forming sport culture. For examples, thephilosophy of Taoist school was a major source of sport culture(health pervsing, andwushu); Confucius and "Benevolence" of pre-Qin Confucianism had a far-reachingimpact on China's ancient sport; the concept of sport preserving health, put forward byXu Zi, was a correct understanding of sport important function; the yin-yang and fiveelement theory, in pre-Qin, naive dialectis and materialism, were main parts of sportculture in ancient china.(5) The forming and development of Qilu sport culture during the pre-Qin priodwere mainly depended on Qilu geography, economic, regional cultural and other fields,what making the nature gave birth to sport culture. Productive labour was anotherimportant reason. In addition, geographical psychology, character and culture were alsomain factors to form their own sport and cultural areas.(6) During pre-Qin period, the Qilu sport culture focused on harmony and unitybetween man and nature and among people, and also on inner harmony and happiness.Through sport training aspirations and personality and enlightening intelligence, resultingin forming harmony and development of moral and body cultivation, and further formingideal personality. In Qilu sport culture, there was an obvious tendency of Confucianmorality, such as moderation, etiquette, humanity and so on. They not only played role incommunication and interpretation of the Qilu, but also in guiding and remodeling, thusprofoundly affecting the structure of the sport culture in ancient China.(7) During pre-Qin period, Qilu sport culture, infuenced by the ji xia school and ahundred schools of thought contend, clearly demonstrated dynamic and open. The culturecontinued evolution based on the culture proliferation of two-way communicationprocess and continuity, which performed exist of two kind of culture, was a typicalculture mixed phenomenon.(8) Due to a profound impact of farming culture, Qilu sport culture had characters offarming culture no matter in content, form, or style, therefore, the action and style had similar connections; the national mentality and the national aesthetic matched the culturalpatterns based on agricultural production, which was a historical necessity.
