Researches On The Etymological Cognate In Hanshu Noted By Yan Shigu

From the angle of etymology, this paper discusses the research onthe etymological cognate in Hanshu Noted by Yan Shigu. In the course ofresearching into language materials in Hanshu Noted by Yan Shigu,according as the literature of pre-Qin, the Western and Eastern HanDynasties and those interpretative materials made by latergenerations. We get 22 sets of paronym in the end. And we conclude andanalyze the relation types of phonology and lexeme, the disciplinarian ofphonology transformation. In this foundation, the thesis analyzes thevalue of the research on the etymological cognate from language materialin Hanshu Noted by Yan Shigu, summarizing and generalizingYanShigu's achievement and contribution on the etymological cognate.All about these can provide the reliable literature language materials forthe scientific modem etymology.Besides of the introduction and conclusion, the second chapter andthe third chapter is the body of the paper which holds two parts. Thesecond chaper gives a study of the phonology and lexeme of theetymological cognate in Hanshu Noted by Yan Shigu; the third chapteranalyzes the value of the research on the etymological cognate fromlanguage material in Hanshu Noted by Yan Shigu, and summaring andgeneralizing YanShigu's achievement and contribution on theetymological cognate.
