Word is the building material of a language.There is no language without word.In the 1980 s,the industrial of teaching Chinese as a foreign language began to enter the field of lexical error analysis.Many researchers have paid attention to Chinese learners’ word error.With the promotion of Chinese abroad,the study of word error for overseas Chinese learners has become the focus of researchers.Thus,based on the Contrastive Analysis Hypothesis and Error Analysis,this article uses a large number of written corpus collected from November 2016 to December 2017 in International College For Language and Commerce(I.C.L.C.)as research materials and first-year Chinese learners as the research target to study their error of word acquisition.The specific structure of this article is as follows:Chapter one is the introduction.It mainly introduces the origin of the research and the significance of the research,summarizes related literature and explains the theoretical basis,the Contrastive Analysis Hypothesis and Error Analysis,as well as the research methods,the research target and the source of the corpus etc..Chapter two analyzes the word error of elementary Chinese learners.Firstly,it makes a brief introduction of the I.C.L.C.,where the research targets are studying.According to the compilation and statistics of the corpus,I found that there are a lot of word errors,and then divides the error into six types: the Misuse of Words,the Lack or Redundancy of Words,Cacography,the Over-generalization of Word,Disorder,Coinage,and exemplify each type to provide corresponding basis for the analysis of the following causes of error.Chapter three analyzes the causes of the error based on the error analysis,my personal observation experiences and survey data.It finds that the causes of these errors are multiaspects,mainly reflected in the negative transfer of target language knowledge,the negative transfer of mother tongue,the influence of medium language and aiding tools,the learning habits of learners,and the influence of learning strategies.Chapter four after learning of the learner’s types of error and the causes of error,this chapter proposes several suggestions on word teaching by combining other research findings with my personal experience,so as to reduce and avoid the word error happened in elementary level of Chinese learners in the future.The methods are about using mother tongue or media properly;combining vocabulary explanation with grammar explanation and attaching importance to the part of speech;paying attention to the Chinese characters in words;combining the teaching of words and the teaching of sentences and making full use of context;actively accepting feedbacks,helping improve and enhance the awareness of learning strategies of learners;introducing the morpheme teaching and paying attention to the quantifier teaching.Chapter five summarizes the research results and points out the lack of research.
