The Study Of Gong Dingzi's Poetry And Ci-poetry

Gong Dingzi was an important writer during the Ming and Qing Dynasty. He , Qian Qianyi and Wu Weiye,were called"Three Great Writers in Southern Changjiang Area".Gong Dingzi had a high reputation in the literary circle during the forepart of the Qing Dynasty.He made accomplishments in poetry,ci-poetry and prose,and he had led literati in the beginning of Kang Xi age.This paper chose Gong Dingzi's life,poetry and ci-poetry as the research objects.The author would like to objectively comment Gong Dingzi's accomplishments of poetry and ci-poetry,his status and influence in the literary history.This paper consists of three parts: preface,the main part and the remaining conclusion.In preface,there is an overview on the significance of selecting this topic and its theme.The main part is divided into three sections:Section I ,Gong Dingzi's life and his works.The life of Gong Dingzi is divided into four phases,and every phase is depicted briefly.In this section ,Gong Dingzi is observed in the surroundings from the Ming to the Qing Dynasty,who firstly surrended himself to Li Zicheng and then to the Qing Dynasty.Also in this section, his complex mentality is also referred to.Besides ,this section introduces the main works of Gong Dingzi,such as poetry,ci-poetry ,prose, his advices to throne and files.Sectionâ…¡,The study of Gong Dingzi's poetry.This section consists of four parts: content, artistic style, poetic points, achievements and influence. Generally,the content is divided into five aspects, which are presenting friends,expressing himself,reflecting people's lives,recording current affairs,and depicting tourism. The artistic style part indicates the poems of Gong Dingzi have many modalities and various styles.In the part of poetic points,this paper firstly points that Gong Dingzi honoured the poetry of Hanwei Phrase and Tang Dynasty.Secondly, Gong Dingzi proposed learning from Du Fu,and he hoped poets caring about reality. Thirdly, Gong Dingzi thought poets should express the feeling of themselves. In the last part, the paper tries to account for the achievements and influence of Gong Dingzi, and attempts to locate his position in poetry history of Qing Dynasty.Sectionâ…¢is the studies of the Gong Ding zi's ci-poetry. This section divides into four parts: the edition survey, the content, the artistic style, the achievements and influence. The first introduces the various versions of Gong Dingzi's ci-poetry and then sorts them out in order. In the second part, the author analyses from the expressions feelings, responses to others, the stirring emotion seeing nature, recollecting the history to reflect on old time. In the third part of artistic style, there're three points.The short and the middle-length accent ci-poetry is merry and charming, sweet and implicit. The long and slow-rhythmed ci-poetry is deep and melancholy pushed far-reaching, and those two kinds of ci-poems reveal his deep ability. Some ci-poems ,which imitate other poet's rhyme , are excellent works. In the fourth part, the author points out his effect and position in ci-poetry circle in the initial stage of Qing Dynasty.The remaining conclusion points out Gong Dingzi, who as the renegade official, has the complex experience during the period between Ming and Qing Dynasty, has special status and contribution in the history of literature and culture at the begging of Qing Dynasty. Moreover the author pointed out Gong Dingzi, as a historical figure, who is taken as the research object ,still has the very great openness and the extensibility for further studies.
