Social environment has a significant influence on artistic creation in the ideological sphere, and different music pieces created in different times tend to reflect certain specific environments. The "Diversification-Unification", as an analystic approach of music creation, is characteristic of the typical pieces of traditional music in different times. The "Diversification-Unification" approach follows up the main clues of the development of the basic music materials such as motives, basic types and elemental alignments, putting an emphasis on the gradations and distances of different parts of music for the purpose of illustrating a logical and continuous development of music forms in a dynamic course. This approach of analysing music pieces is a particular way of music thinking based on the universal law of the unity of the opposites. "Diversification-Unification" is considered to be an existing state of music as well as an essential principle abided by in music composition. The theoretical system of The "Diversification-Unification" approach is actrually changes in both contents and forms or unity of both of them within the same part or between different ones when the music is being developed, namely, this changes in content and forms are so called "Diversification",while the state of them as a whole is " Unification". Normally, this music technique resorts to a way of contrasting and repeatition. The "Diversification-Unification" approach consists of micro-types and macro-types. The former is the relationship of "Diversification" and "Unification" between the sub-substructure in a substructrue. Many masterpieces sometimes take on two main particular forms of "Diversification-Unification". One consists of more the "Unification" than the "Diversification", e.g. Varitions. The other carries on more "Diversification" than the "Unification", which depend on the integrate and logical composition. The point of "Diversification-Unification" consists of the point of diversification and the point of unification, which happen in most parts of a certain piece in detail. When judging the points of diversification and unification in a piece, various elements including the specific melogy development of the materials of the piece, the types of rythems in various modes and musical Form arranged in various forms should be taken into consideration. The degree of Diversifecation and Unification is the distance formed within a certain part or between different ones. It consists of the degree of Diversification and degree of Unification. The former is the distance between basic materials and contrast materials or the distance at the joint of different materials. In a unity, both of them relatively illustrate the changing degree in contrast materials or basic materials or music themes established a coordinate relationship between every two parts, which means the equal degree of diversification and unification, while a subordinate relationship between every two parts usually causes the degree of diversification and unification to be reduced by half.Further comprehension of this analystical approach is based on an all-round analysis of more pieces of music as typical samples.
