The period between the West Han Dynasty and East Han Dynasty is the one thatwas filled with social unrests, turbulences and changes, with all kinds of thoughtsclashing and integrating. The divergence between the averseness tend to the presentHan dynasty (the very end of the West Han Dynasty) and the yearning tend forprevious West Han dynasty is the watershed of ideology for the power substitution inthat critical period. In face of the serious social crisis, every social stratum was eagerto express their dissatisfaction with the society and their aspiration for social changesand their thirst for the pure kingcraft. Under the forcing influence of the aversenesstend of thought, Wang Mang eventually succeeded in forming a new deal to substitutethe old one. However the new deal was a failure, which consequently resulted in theemergence of the yearning tend of thought which was the desire of each social stratumfor renaissance of the society under the leadership of Liu family. And the regressionfrom the New deal to the Han deal (the previous Han Dynasty political system) hadbecome the social focus of that period. And this kind of regression eventuallycontributed to the establishment of East Han Dynasty. The public voices under thetitle of the two tends of thoughts, the various minds and behaviors and valueorientations of the social stratums in that changing and unrest period are thereflections of the political and economic interests in the field of social ideology, whichimpersonally impelled social development.
