With the further development of opening-up policy, some rural peoplein China are urbanizing , which causes to change in Chinese modern andcontemporary literature, namely, since the late of 1990s Chinese literarynarration has appeared a new phenomenon -- writingpeasant-workers ,which has recorded the change of Chinese society and peasants cultural mind-set . It has been about 20 years since the first peasant-worker novel publishes and now hundreds of works have appeared, and we are amazed at its extensive subject matter, profound theme and various characters. Meanwhile, it has provided us with information that we can recognize the present position of our nation in global cultural structure and find out advantages and disadvantages of Chinese culture. It has also provided us with cultural language context that know and re-structure our national soul.The paper specifically discusses this literary narration as follows.I . It is a literary style during social transformation in China and has its transitivity. It connects with both rural and urban literatures closely. The peasant-workers ' identity has its double marginality of urban and rural.II. The novels describe living sufferings and human alienation of peasant-workers , narrating their pursuing for the city life but be excluding from the city , which has reached the depth that question humanity between cultural cracks.III. It has greatly realize and contemporary feature and tragic ideology . It can be deny that this literary narration has its shortcoming for one of the narration subject.
