The Confucian merchants'image is brand-new literary figure in ancient Chinese literature.They occupy the small space in its unique management way in the Chinese literature palace.This article only researches the Confucian merchant's image in the novels in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty.By reading lot's of novels of the Ming and Qing Dynasties for foundation,at first,this article determines the concept of the Confucian merchant,and clarifies the understanding.It lists some novels in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty,so the readers can have a Preliminary understanding about the confucian merchants'image.Take them as the basis,it analyses the Confucian merchants'image production,the development, the prosperous reason, the course, the time backgroundand and its reflection in the literary works.This article relates to economic activity closely to analyse its formation and the development.In this foundation,this article induces the Confucian merchants'thought characteristic, the artistic characteristic and esthetics characteristic.The Confucian merchants'commercial activity has the positive influence to business ethics and the social convention in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty. They provide the important model significance for us to mould the contemporary Confucian merchants.
