This dissertation lies the middle aged women and young women in the temporal panorama novel of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty in the family emphasizing feudal patriarchal and masculine society and summarizes these group of wives and concubines as Confucian crazy women which consists of two group of women, virtuous women and evil women under the new-led critical concept of hysteria. The author applies feminine criticism and views the wives and concubines historically and rationally with the analysis of psychology, social and historical criticism, cultural criticism. Through the analysis of those women in the aspects of physiology, psychology and culture, the author draw an conclusion that both two types of Confucian crazy women have the hysterical common character of anxiety, curiosity and madness.The content consists of three parts: cultural background on social and historical aspects: the cultural explanation on the images of concubines; the definition on hysteria and the concept of"crazy women"; the ugly and strange images of female groups under the feudal patriarchal and masculine political relationship.The analysis of its cultural background comes to it that the language mainly by male power, in a social cultural sense, control women through rules and organized languages government,concubines are only allowed to search for their main parts and meanings through feudal patriarchal language. Chinese feudal patriarchal and masculine tradition has thrown a dual burden on concubines, which are the thought of moral system and sexual government.There are seven concrete analyses in the second segment: the panic at economy, the authority of the religion, the block of the education, the insecurity of the emotion, the struggle betweens concubines, the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and the implied meaning of their names. So it concludes that women's lust and body bear the constrain deficiency and crack and suffer from masculine power by various feudal ethical codes and moral taboos.In the third part, it analyzes a group of portrait of odious wives and concubines who lived under the political environment of feudal patriarchal and masculine. The subordination, alienation, morbidity and odiousness of the wives and concubines showed the tragedy of the inferior culture. And it is all reflected by the representation of the despair, anxiety, morbidity and odiousness of these women.
