The Yichuan(??)systems was transportation and communication systems in Chinese historical period, the relay(?)and post station(???)systems were part of the Yichuan systems. As the main transportation and communication agencies, the relays and posts of the Ming-Qing dynasties jointly constituted the main framework of the Yichuan systems of the entire empire, which supported the feudal autocratic monarchy and its regime to effectively control the territory and people within the scope of its rule. After reviewing and sorting out the relevant studies on relays and posts of the Ming-Qing dynasties, this thesis finds that there are few studies on the spatial-temporal distribution and changes of Fujian relays and posts, especially the research results of Fujian posts are very few, most scholars prefer to study dynastic history of the relays and posts.According to the deficiency of the research status, this thesis, from the viewpoint of geography, used ArcGIS software to study the spatial-temporal distribution and changes of Fujian relays and posts in the Ming-Qing dynasties. There are three objectives of this research: One is to explore the feature of spatial-temporal distribution and change of the Fujian relays and posts in the Ming-Qing dynasties. The second is to explore the influence factors and indigenous influence of distribution and change of Fujian relays and posts in the Ming-Qing dynasties. The third is to explore the mutual influence between the Fujian relays and posts in the Ming-Qing dynasties, this part is one of the innovation points of this thesis. This research finds that the distribution and change of Fujian relays in the Ming-Qing dynasties were mainly concentrated in northwestern mountainous areas, southeastern coastal areas and the central region.Due to the large number of Fujian posts in the Ming-Qing dynasties, this thesis selected Pucheng County(???),where the change of the posts was active and have important geographical position,as the sample area to probe into posts. The distribution and change of Pucheng posts in the Ming-Qing dynasties were mainly concentrated in the northern, southern, southeastern and western parts of the county. In addition, due to the influence of five main factors, such as natural geography, social elements(includes population, economy and stability),regulations of relay and posts, government demands and military history, the spatial-temporal distribution and change of Fujian relays and posts in Ming-Qing dynasties were overall relative quiescence and local dynamic change. This state of affairs has both advantages and disadvantages for local development. Finally, when was exploring the influence factors and indigenous influence of distribution and change of Pucheng posts in the Ming-Qing dynasties, this thesis further found that the distribution and trend of local relays would affect the distribution and change of local posts in Ming-Qing dynasties, but this influence could become weaker and weaker with the time development, the distribution and change of local posts could reverse affect the distribution and set of relays in certain historical conditions.Of course, because the limitations of some objective factors, this thesis still has some deficiencies in research process, and hopes to make some improvements in future research.
