Studies On "V掉"

In modern Chinese,"V掉"is a special resultive construction for its polysemy,extensive combination with verb and the replacement with"V了"。To make clear this resultive construction is very helpful fou us to understand grammaticalization of the content words in modern Chinese,and also helpful for us to discuss the similar constructions such as"V成","V上","V住","V完","V好"etc。The text include seven parts:The first part:Introduction。In this part ,we mainly introduced the pasts's research and the shortage,and also pointed out the scope of the text。The second part:Syntactic function of the"V掉"construction。The main syntactic function of the"V掉"construction in the sentence is to act as predicate or the core of the predicate。It often acts as lattribute,too。Besides acting as predicate and lattribute,the"V掉"construction can act as subject and object sometimes。And some of the"V掉"constructions can make up a imperative sentence with an intonation in a certain context。The third part:Semantic category and related sentence patterns of the"V掉"construction。Combinating with different verb,the meanings of the complemen"t掉"are also different。According to the meanings of the complement"掉",the"V掉"construction can be divided into eight types,namely消失类V掉,移位类V掉,摆脱类V掉,破损类V掉,丢弃类V掉,丧失类V掉,脱落类V掉和完成类V掉。The forth part:Selection to the patient of the"V掉"construction。Diffenrent semantic type of the"V掉"construction has different demands to their patient。We mainly discussed the specific demands of every type of the"V掉"constructions to their patient。The fifth part:Discussion on polysemy and ambiguity of the"V掉"construction。The same"V掉"may have different meanings in different sentences,even can have different comprehension in the same sentence。In this part ,we mainly discussed the reasons which result in the polysemy and ambiguity of the same"V掉"construction。The sixth part:"V掉"and"V了"。In this part ,we discussed the nature of the"了"in"V了"which could be replace with VC first ,and then pointed...
