Ding Ling, who set foot on the road of China's second generation literary creation under the enfluence of May 4th Enlightenment, plays an important role in modern literary history with her literary creation, which is as Wang Meng said: "History has cut off a number of trifles — but Ding Ling's work is still alive. "Yan'an period is important in Ding Ling's novels' creation, Yanan provides writers with special writing environment as well as the lives which is different from the past, which made writers' creation rearranged dramatically. This paper studies the new direction of the writers' creation, the presentation of art as well as various reasons for the writers' shift and so on. Among the reasons for the shift, that essentially it is a new system of language, Mao style, that has a special enfluence on the writers' creation is analyzed more.This paper attempts not to make the simple judgment on value, tries to reinstate the historical truth, to explore the authors' psychological journey, from which the experiences and lessons are summed up. Papers is divided into four chapters, the specific studies are as follows :Preface.Aiming to discuss what kind of a creative change, the basic literature review of the writers in the academic study of this period, and the research perspectives.Chapter 1 : Studying the shifted direction of Ding Ling's creation. The discussion is developed around the topics of the shift from the author's cultural identity, the change of the writers' thought, the shift of the themes and measures.Chapter 2 : Studying the art presentation of Ding Ling's shift of creation. It is concretely analized from three periods : the creation before 1940, the creation themes can be summed up to the narration of class struggle, national liberation, the creation in the period between 1940—1942, before the Rectification Movement. The works in this period covers the writer's cinsideration on freedom, equality and gender issues and so on; the creation between after the Rectification Movement and 1945 when she left Yan'an, which discusses concretely Ding Ling's psychological journey on the shift and a new style of writing practiceChapter 3 : Studies the reasons for the writer's creation shift.
