It is not only very important to minority education in Xinjiang, but also have close relation with the development of Xinjiang, this article expounds on the current situation in Xinjiang regarding the teaching of Chinese to Minority students. We put forth the need for "preparatory stage" department of Chinese to change in their ideology and thus value the importance of practical theory. We see a need to reinforce theory research, changing the old teaching method that focus on teachers; and establishing new teaching methods that focus on students. Logically these new methods should begin with Minority students, dividing them to smaller groups. We also suggest having a larger selection of classes, which assist the student to develop a stronger grasp of the language and emphases more on practical usage.
