Song Taizu found and improved a new system of the Jin army in the early Song dynasty, but to be honest, this system was Five dynasty's old system on the whole. The superior four armies' establishment system and command system was a mirror of Song dynasty's whole military system. This system had not followed Han and Tang dynasty's old army system, but established and perfected gradually by different monarchs of Five dynasty which was a period full of wars. In today's extant history record, there is no accurate and systemic recordation on this system, and there are also many contraventions in scattered recordation. So my article will try to find out the whole growing process of this new military establishment system and command system, which come of war period and different dynasty.Firstly, my paper discussed the superior four armies' historical origin and transformation. Their names changed continually with dynasties' rise and fall, which contains the whole new military system's growing course.Secondly, new martial establishment system and command system are the two pivots of my study. In establishment system, each establishment unit has different source and was formed in diverse time. In command system, each general's title was named by different establishment unit. Finally, this new martial system was formed and established during later Tang dynasty and Five dynasty. Liang Taizu developed the "fanzhen" military system to a nationwide military system. Tang Mingzong reformed this military system, mustered all armies and found new military system. Zhou shizong reformed the military system again, and established "dianqian" army. In a word, the Jin army's establishment system and command system in early Song dynasty was started in later Liang dynasty, formed in later Tang dynasty, and perfected in later Zhou dynasty.
