Germany is one of the most import political powers in the world. The social transition and modernization of Germany in the 19th century was a significant event in the past century, which brought forward the world two world wars and directly put a great effect on the fate of human beings and world order in the 20th century. Besides, the progress of German modernization also acompanied several wars. People will have to keep a question in their mind - why it is not Britain or France or US, but the new-rising Germany became the source of wars?Today, China is also in the progress of fast modernization. Chinese government has a very firm determination of "Great Revival". Consequently, our desire and need to the factors of modernization, such as resource, market, manpower, and the conflictions for the factors, is the same as those nations', who had experienced and finished modernization. It is no wonder that someone worries about China's modernization. Where is China's modernization going? How will it be realized or fulfilled? Our government used "Peaceful Rise" to describe it, whose purpose is very clear and simple -- "to mark the distinction between today's China and Germany at the end of the 19th century. History might be littered with the clashes between existing and emerging powers, but China would be different." So it is absolutely necessary to analyze the relation between war and modernization of Germany, which is sure to bring us a lot of enlightments and take warnings to China.
