The diversification has been a topic of social culture and moral realm since the 20th century.Especially under the trend of economic globalization,science and technology as well as information develop at an increasingly rapid speed,the mass media becomes gradually diverse.Cultural conflict and fusion unceasingly bring about new problems,new relations and new values in morality field.The conflict of diverse values is unavoidable.The individual continuously meets moral predicaments,which have never been met before,and which can't be reasonably explained and appropriately handled with the decided predominate social values.So it is demanding for moral education to foster the morality main body's awareness and ability to choose proper morals,to enhance the main body's self-consciousness, activity and creativity,to promote the individual's abilities of choice-making and judgement when facing moral chaos,conflicts or in difficult positions.Undeniably, current era is "era when chosen" , current students are "students that choose". So,nowadays moral education of the university ought to be the moral education that is "teaching and choosing". Cultivation of students' abilities to choose proper morals should become the new idea and new pursuit of the universities.This is the inevitable choice of moral education under the plural morals realistic background that values coexist.This is a kind of basic demand of "students that choose" for moral education.This is the effective way to help students' settle their own moral contradiction and realize moral development.This article takes diversification as background, the students' subjectivity development as aim,and emphatically discusses how to foster students' abilities to choose proper morals through school moral education.The full text altogether divides into three chapters:Chapter I objectively describes the condition of value collision and conflict.School moral education faces real challenge.So, "teaching to choose" and "learning to choose" become the age's topic and reality expectation of students' subjectivity development.Chapter II originally proposes the ability system applied in handling conflict circumstances. This chapter first introduces the primary factors influencing the formation of abilities to choose proper morals.On this basis, the chapter analyzes the essential factors constituting the ability system, namely thought ability before choosing proper morals, executive ability in the course of choosing proper morals, and reconsidering ability after choosing proper morals.Chapter III investigates how to develop the moral main body with independent abilities to choose proper morals.Meanwhile this chapter,from the microscopic and practical layer, puts forward concrete activity suggestion and strategy for fostering students' abilities to choose proper morals in school moral education.In a word,as one part of human activities in social life, moral choice clearly reflects the moral character of a person.In a society where people hold different opinions toward value and morality,how to choose proper morals,to promote individual and social development,has become an important study field of current moral education.
