Educational equity is one of the fundamental symbols of evaluating one country's education standard. Pursuit of educational equity has become one of the orientations of educational reforms in many countries in the world. At smaller level, educational equity is the one in classroom communication between teachers and students. To some extent, educational equity cannot be fulfilled until equity of classroom communication between teachers and students is realized. However, there exists the phenomenon of unfair classroom communication between college English teachers and students. Under such circumstances, we have to think what influences does unfair classroom communication between teachers and students have on oral English levels of college non-English major students. What measures should we take to improve their oral English levels through enhancing the equity of classroom communication between teachers and students? Based on observations and quasi-experiments on two non-English major classes of Southwest University, this research analyses the influence of unfair classroom communication between teachers and students on oral English levels of college non-English major students, and probes into the ways of improving the equity of classroom communication between teachers and students in English teaching towards college non-English major students. With the combination of theory and practice, and based on theories of logic, psychology and pedagogy, this paper makes deep study on the influence of unfair classroom communication between teachers and students on oral English levels of college non-English major students. This paper uses research methods of literature review, observation and quasi-experiment.The paper can be divided into four parts:â… .The first part presents the ground and significance of the study, defines the meanings of unfairness, classroom communication between teachers and students and unfair classroom communication between teachers and students, analyses the study circumstances of unfair classroom communication between teachers and students and oral English teaching of college non-English major students.â…¡.The second part discusses the research designs. Based on observations and quasi-experiments on two non-English major classes of Southwest University, this part analyses the influence of unfair classroom communication between teachers and students on oral English levels of college non-English major students.â…¢. The third part mainly presents the results of observations and quasi-experiment, and analyses the results.â…£.The forth part mainly discusses the principles and ways of improving the equity of oral English classroom communication between English teachers and college non-English major students.
