Perspective On Wang Zengqi's View Of Literary Language-A Turn And AReturn

Language is a good access to a writer. So this dissertation chooses to study Wang Zengqi from his language. This is not only because of his special style in his language, but also his attention on the language and his depth into it. This dissertation tries to have a comprehensive understansing and analysis of Wang Zengqi's view of language in aspects such as its connotation and gist, its relationship with traditional culture and mordern awareness, its presentation in the context , its signification to build modern Chinese and so on. Then the dissertation also tries to assess his view of language in the history of literature. Wang Zengqi has absorbed a lot from ancient literature criticism, essays of Ming and Qing dynasty, folk literature, western modern literature and May-Fourth new literature and selectively carried on the research of the predecessors such as Lu Xun, Zhou Zuoren, Fei Ming, Shen Congwen, Wen Yiduo and so on. He holds the idea that language should be full of content,literature, suggestion and fluidity. He gets the understanding of language in the literature ontology instead of the traditional theory of tool. He makes the language back into the text. Wang Zengqi's view of language is not absolutely a theory. But it pays more attention to the practice. His literary creation is the proof and source of his view of language. It shoud be said that Wang Zengqi's view of language has a profound signification to build the language of the modern Chinese. But it is a pity that there are so few later writers to follow his view.
