Load words, which are also called borrowed words, are the words borrowed from other countries to convey the meaning of its own. Sapier once said" Language is just like its culture which is hard to be self-sufficient. Communication makes one person who speaks one languge contact with the people in the neighboring country or the people who have dominant culture directly or indirectly. Communication can be friendly and antagonistic. It can be carried out on the common affairs ,the trading bussiness and a load or an exchange of mentality of art, science, religion and so on.As a mirror of life and development of society, it is not only the main part of our human culture, but also the carrier of culture which stores the message of culture makes great contributiones to the spread and inheritance of all the nationes' culture.In the course of contacts among languages, it is natural for one language to borrow some words from other languages which is needed in the communication and with the development of the society. So do Chinese.Just as the development of nature, the development of words also has its own disciplines. That is words will self-update while receiving and accepting. It is sure that the communication between Chinese and other language is a kind of efficient way to update itself. The development of Chinese mainly depends on this way while recognizing new things. Otherwise, we will be hard to make out the origin and the meaning of these new things.In all ages, Chinese ceaselessly absorbs load words to make expressing more convenient in the course of the development of itself. Even some words are regarded as our own words long time ago. So without the appearance of these new words, there will be no good development of Chinese today. Load words also show the cultural spirit of the nation in a certain period to some extent. So it is also an important factor of knowing the nation and the era.This thesis analyzes three climaxes of Chinese receiving and accepting load words and reaches a conclusion that everytime we receive and accept these load words, we enrich our language greatly and push our Chinese forward. In the course of receiving and accepting, we not only adopt the words of our minorities but also the words of other nationes of foreign countries.These words all play a digesting and effecting role in our Chinese in different periods. This thesis combs the state of these three climaxes of receiving and accepting and illustrates how Chinese culture transitc from close to open and also the effect of accpting to Chinese.
