The conflicts between Buddhism and Taoism is accompanied by the spread and development of Buddhism in China. Only to the Eastern Jin Northern and Southern Dynasties, during this period is particularly intense. It's related the self-development of Buddhism and Taoism and the social background. The main contents of the conflicts including the status of religious, the disputes between two cultures, political interests and a small number of moral principles.Because of different social atmosphere,it shows different manifestations bteween Northern Dynasties and Southern Dynasties.Pay more attentions to theory in Southern Dynasties,it performance culture conflicts to the question of Yi and Xia at the core.Often resort to forces in Northern Dynasties,it performance conflicts of political interest to exclusion of Buddhism by two typical king of Wei Wu and Zhou Wu . But whether it is Southern or Northern Dynasties,the common and basic point of conflicts were reality conflict of the political, economic, cultural and other conflicts of interest. The standpoint of both sides is the authority on behalf of the community of Confucian thought.So,the conflicts have considerable utility, The Conflicts between Buddhism and Taoism has resulted absorption and integration to each other,and it also contributed to ancient China to Confucianism as the main body, to Buddhism and Taoism as assisted pattern shape of culture. The point of open culture through the past and modern also played a positive role in guiding and summary between the conflicts. As a hidden clue, the achievements of Chinese civilization, the source for endless. Analysis the conflict between Buddhism and Taoism of this period for our knowledging and understanding the spirit of traditional Chinese culture,better treatmenting foreign culture, as well as the construction of religious and cultural based on the actual conditions of China,significance have inspired.
