| The centre of Puzrish-Dagan is the important center of the tribute animals, which is now Drehem site in Iraq. The center was built by the king ?ulgi of Ur III dynasty at his 39th year's dominance. The background is Ur III dynasty royal power and other officials often offer sacrifice to their gods, simultaneously the palace, and other people and soldiers need the massive animals to eat. With the developing of Ur III dynasty, the numbers of the sacrifice animals became more and more, so that these receiving and disbursement job required one special organization center to manage.Centre of Puzrish-Dagan was near to the religious center Nippur and Tummal, therefore, it was selected for the central for temples. The office of Puzrish-Dagan was one of the greatest animals center in the ancient Mesopotamian history, it played the important role in the system of economy of Ur III dynasty.This paper mainly reconstructed the documents of Ahuni, who was the conveying official of centre of tribute animal. There are 143 archives about Ahuni's conveying that we can find, the other 27 archives belonging to the ones who had the same-named person, and these men were sagi priest and prince according to the time and content of their archive. Ahuni's work time was from the 42th year of ?ulgi on October 30th to 1th year of Amar-S?n on September 13rd, altogether 8 years. Through analysis of Ahuni's archives, we can determine that Ahuni was the conveying official of tribute animal centre. His work mostly was to convey living animals and dead animals to the centre, and took over the distribution of the receiving officials.This paper discussed focusly and analysed the economic activities of Ahuni and other partners, and concluded some important results. We can mostly affirme the location of Ahuni's office and the sources of the animals. The raising and solving of questions about these kinds of conveying officials is helpful to reconstruct the structure of the centre of tribute animals and study other questions about the centre tribute animals. |
