The Applicable Method For Individual In Oil Painting

Accomplishing an oil painting requires the artist's artistic ideas and researches, as well as his facture technique and art skill.As a graduate student major in art and orientated in oil painting in the Art College of Sichuan University, I researched on my process, which consisted of eight phases:1. The training of "being aesthetic for once", which incited the idea of expressing music through picture, and transferring audition to vision.2. The experiment of putting music and the feeling for music on canvas.3. The training of "accomplishing a picture well". With the five elements as assistants, accomplish a complete work, then its series. Find out the whole process of accomplishing an oil painting, and a comparatively integrated picture.4. Using while developing the method of completed picture, taking out the elements, finding a more symbolic content for new works.5. Graduation paper and the subject of "the Artistic Value in Works from Mere Repetition". I made attempts through the research on "simplism" and the exhibition of "Prayer Beads and Brushwork".6. Training on colors, without any techniques or information.7. Comparing the facture of accomplished works, and other relative information, to find out the common point.8.
