The Confucian ethics established its noble status since the period of Emperor HanWu, and the time of Confucian Classics began. Philology in Han Dynasty took Confucian Classics as the central characteristic under the special political environment, which influenced later feudal society profoundly. This thesis analyses the development of Philology in Han Dynasty under political influence. It concludes that the collection and collation of pre-Qin documents served for politics in Western and Eastern Han, and that the government of Western and Eastern Han mainly used Confucian Classics documents. So this thesis analyses the relationship of politics and the contemporary classic study, and of politics and the debate between the contemporary classic and the traditional classic schools.
