With the globalization of the world economy and the popularization of international exchange, China is in desperate need of people who are familiar with foreign cultures and capable of communicating accurately and appropriately in intercultural situations. This is a new challenge in college English teaching. Thus, it is really important to foster the students' positive attitudes towards the target culture, develop their cultural knowledge and skills as well as critical awareness, and enable them to communicate appropriately in an intercultural situation. From the perspective of inter-culture, according to the interrelationship between language and culture, the author proposes that we should combine culture teaching with language teaching, develop intercultural communicative competence. Finally learners could get succeed in future intercultural communication.The author makes an experiment among 60 students whose major in tour-management of Business College in Shanxi University. According to questionnaire among 60 answers and interview with 26 students, the author draws a conclusion: After carrying out cultural teaching, students' inter-cultural communicative competences are obviously improved.
