Liu Guo was born before middle period of South Dynasty. He was heroic and easy in his morals. Also, he was crazy on drinking. He always concerned politics at that time, so he offered the strategy for recovering over and over again. It was said that the middle and lower areas of the Huang River could be taken up through one fight. But his advice wasn't taken. He was unlucky all his life. Liu Guo had plenty of works, but more was lost, however, Longzhou Works with 14 volumes was preserved. The twelfth volume, Longzhou Rhyme has been paid more attention till now. The writer will just talk about it in this article generally.Longzhou Rhyme includes the following five aspects: Patriotic rhymes of recapturing the middle and lower areas of the Huang River and praising general heroes; Self-recommended rhymes full of complicated feelings; Rhyme of expressing down-hearted mood without dream come true; Sentiment rhymes following Huajian Modal; Rhymes of narrating objects with verses. Of the five aspects, the writer has different attitudes on the self-recommended rhymes. Most people look down upon his qualities because of this kind of his rhymes. But in fact, Liu Guo had complicated feelings during creating those rhymes. Of course, there existed worldly factors, such as fame and wealth, and forth. But the most important point was that he hoped his dream of recovering could come true with the help of governors and patriots. Besides, according to the view of modern talents, everyone struggles for opportunities and expects that they can give full play to their abilities with the aid of their rhymes and verses. That's normal indeed. That is just one of reasonable bases for Liu Guo's creation.
