Objectives To evaluate the reliability of childhood abuses experiences questionnaire and adolescents' psychology and behaviors checklist related to unhealthy dietary pattern. To describe the epidemic of childhood abuses experiences and the psychology and behaviors regarding unhealthy dietary pattern in adolescents, also analyse the association between the two to understand the long-term effects of childhood abuses experiences deeply.Methods The survey was conducted among 5 453 students of grades 1-2 in 9 of thenon-campus schools including junior, senior middle schools and vocational schools in 2 areas of Anhui province. According to their own wills, the students completed the anonymous questionnaire including the demographic characteristics of adolescents and parents, childhood abuses experiences (the average abused times of each year that occurred in the period of elementary school or before), adolescents' psychology and behaviors related to unhealthy dietary pattern, et al, and 5 141 students provided with full questionnaire. To evaluate the test-retest reliability, the survey was conducted twice among 108 students and the interval was 1 month. Reliability check included the test-retest reliability (to calculate Spearman correlation coefficient of the childhood abuses experiences questionnaire and Kappa value of the psychology and behaviors related to unhealthy dietary pattern checklist in twice measurements of 108 students) and internal consistency (to calculate Cronbach a coefficient, correlation coefficient of subscales and in subscales). We also used factor analysis to check the supposed validity.The questionnaire of childhood abuses experiences had 32 items and was classified into 5 subscales including severe childhood physical abuse, moderate childhood physical abuse, emotional abuse, physical contact sexual abuse and non-physical contact sexual abuse.
