| This dissertation analyses the systems of the textbooks for foreign students in Chinese language major by investigating the Sentance types with aspect marks from the teaching materials. This dissertation divides aspect marks into 6 types and 39 sub-types. It uses statistic methods to calculate the distribution of sentence types with aspect marks in the textbooks of the first grade and second grade, and then analyses the result The analysis is done in vertical and horizontal directions. The vertical analysis investigates the systematic links between the textbooks of the first grade and second grade. The horizontal analysis focus on the systematic relations among the various teaching materials of each grade.The horizontal analysis indicates the distributions of sentence types with aspect marks in both specialized textbooks and integral textbooks are coherent in general. The Listening Book of the first grade is well matched with the Integral Book, but the Speaking Book now used by the Chinese Language College of the Beijing Language and Culture University shows evident difference in writing principle with the other teaching materials of the same grade, so there are few links between the Speaking Book and Integral Book.The vertical analysis shows the vertical links between the textbooks of the first and second grade. There are repetitions in the textbooks of the second grade so that the books can connect to the Integral Books of the first grade. But there are some both important and difficult grammar points not repeated. This dissertation also analyzes the vertical systems of Hanyu Jiaocheng, the integral textbook of the fist grade.After the analysis above, the dissertation offers suggestions on the teaching material writing, including separating grammar program, increasing repetition of grammar points.The dissertation, based on the statistic results, did a survey focusing on the students' acquiring effects of sentences with aspect marks. The result shows that students did better in the survey when tested by sentence types with more appearing frequency. It indicates that the trends of textbooks directly infect the study result, so the teaching material writers shoulder significant responsibility. Textbooks should not only control the position of grammar points and new sentence types, but also must pay attention to the appearing frequency of the various grammar points from beginning to the end. |
