Western Feminist Ethics Introduction

The word feminist ethics emerged in America in 1970s. But its basic thought existed earlier than the word. It is an objective fact that the two sexes are being in a world. But the so-called mainstream ethics ignore the female benefits and truss itself by masculine moral experiment. The feminist realized the unfair of traditional ethics to female from the very beginning and began to challenge the traditional ethics. However then they limited to analyze it by already existed theory. In 1980s, many feminists hold that it should thought back to the moral theory and try to construct the ethics of sex-equality. Thus it brought about the naissance of the feminist ethics in true sense. The theory has the characteristics of both feminist and ethics and different from the former feminist and the traditional ethics. What kind of theory it is? There are many different opinion from the internal or external of feminist ethics. And this thesis try to express the opinion of myself through analyzing the feminist ethics both in feminist and in ethics aspect.The section one of the thesis is the basic introduction of the feminist ethics. It defines the concept, expatiate on the status of its coming into being and springing up and set forth its major schools.The section two of the thesis discuss the feminist belong to the feminist through sex analysis.The section three of the thesis probe into the feminist belong to the ethics through discuss the ethics problem.The section four analyze the puzzle dom of the feminist ethics and find the significance to Chinese feminist research on the basis of hash over discussing and further thinking.The significance of the feminist ethics is not lie in what it said but in what was that. It must bring out the revolutionary on ethics research and have great consequence not only in theory but also in practice from rethinking the ethics issues at the feminist aspect.
