Xie Zhuang is a famous litterateur in the Jin period of Nan Dynasty, and he is also one of the members of the Xie literature group. Although his achievement in literature is inferior to his uncle Xie Lingyun and his cousin Xie Tiao, he is prestigious in the literary world at that time. Following the course of the whole literary development, Liu Song era is the period in which the Yuan Jia Style turns to the Yong Ming Style in Chinese literary history. In this course, Xie Zhuang exerts very important effect. We can see the venation of the variance of the literature from Song period to Qi. So from the above, we can find that Xie Zhuang brings much influence to the aftertime. However, at present the research on Xie Zhuang and his works is incomplete, so we must make deeply research on him. The paper is the first detailed comprehensive study to Xie Zhuang's works till today. This paper constitutes three parts. The first part introduces to us Xie Zhuang's usually record of events firstly. Then from his works the paper explored Xie Zhuang's thoughts, artistic characteristic and creative style . In this part, the paper also introduces other capacities of Xie Zhuang and the later generations' opinions to his works. Finally the paper introduces to us the spreading of his works. The second part is the main body of this paper. In this part the writer collected Xie Zhuang's poems and articles and collated, tested to order the works and made annotation by using traditional ways. The third part is appendix including the chronicle of Xie Zhuang's life, the material compilation on them written by the past age's writers, the ill-defined literature and bibliography. In writing I have done necessary textual research about Xie Zhuang's life and his works according to available material, and try my best to accord with his own thoughts, in order to provide a little help for the scholars on the study in future.
