Lingyun Zhuang Language Reference Grammar

The paper is a reference grammar study of Baise Lingyun Zhuang Dialect.On the basis of first-hand field investigation,synchronic description of Lingyun Zhuang Dialect's pronunciation,vocabulary,syntactic structure and semantic category were given a whole picture.The paper is divided into 10 chapters.Chapter 1 is the introduction of the paper;Chapter 2 is about the phonology of Linyun Zhuang Dialect;Chapter 3 to Chapter 8discuss issues related to syntactic structure of Linyun Zhuang Dialect;Chapter 9discusses semantic category of Linyun Zhuang Dialect;And the last chapter is the summary of the paper.Chapter 1 is the introduction of geography and languages of Lingyun.And relevant studies,the theoretical framework,research methodology as well as source of corpus are also mentioned in this part.Chapter2 focuses on the description of initials,finals,tones and the syllable structure of Lingyun Zhuang dialect.Chapter 3 focuses on the description of word,parts of speech and word formation of Lingyun Zhuang dialect.Chapter 4 describes the nominal phrase in Lingyun Zhuang Dialect.Nouns can be modified by attributes or coordinated to be elaborated.And denotative attributes(including determiner-classifier NPs,numeral-classifier NPs possessive attributes etc.)and connotative attributes are discussed;the order poly-attributes and coordination of nominal components are also described in this part.Chapter5 is a discussion of verbal phrase in Lingyun Zhuang Dialect,Verb adjective,descriptive are first introduced,and then verb-complement construction,verbobject construction and serial-verb construction are developed.Reference and coordination of predicates come finally.Chapter6 gives a description of simple of Lingyun Zhuang Dialect;The argument structure Lingyun Zhuang dialect is first described;and then the adverbial modifiers and the discussion of topicalization and focus expression.Chapter7gives a description of the complex sentences and compound sentences.This part introduces complement clause(e.g.subject clause and object clause),attributive clause(e.g.relative clause and appositive clause),subordinate clause and coordinate clauseChapter 8 describes the sentence types,Interrogative sentences,imperative sentences and exclamatory sentences of Lingyun Zhuang Dialect and the modal particles related to the end of sentences are also described.Chapter9 describes semantic categories as negation,aspect,modality,quantity,comparison etc.of Lingyun Zhuang Dialect.Chapter 10 is the summary of the paper..
