Lin Shu′s Researches On Zhuang Zi

Although Lin Shu was well-known in the literary world because of interpreting west’s fiction,but what he loved the most was the ancient compositions.Lin Shu carried Zhuang Zi through his life, and Zhuangzi Qianshuo, Zuomengzhuangsao Jinghuolu was Lin Shu’s professional researches works on Zhuang Zi.We found that Lin Shu applied the research methods of argumentation, textual research and literary grace in the trinity of Tongcheng school through analysing these two books,and it provides a new angle for solve the puzzling question whether Lin Shu belong to the Tongcheng school.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly analyzes the general situation of Lin Shu,including the life experience and thought of Lin Shu,and the relationship between he and Tongcheng school.The second chapter mainly introduce that when Lin Shu analyzed the argumentation of Zhuang Zi,he referenced the thought of Guo Xiang, which including the harmony of Confucianism and Taoism,the "individualization" theory, and the "Nature of self-sufficiency" theory.The third chapter mainly introduce the reaserches on Zhuang Zi of Lin Shu mainly valued Song Studies, and valued textual research secondly,and that is to say,Lin Shu adopted both Han learning and Song learning in his reaserches.The fouth chapter mainly analyzes Lin Shu’s reaserches on the literary of Zhuang Zi,which including the thread of thought of Zhuang Zi and the prose style of Zhuang Zi.
