Feng Qi is a famous philosopher in china. He was engaged in the research of philosophical theory and the history of Chinese philosophy in all his life.On the theoretical study of philosophy, he was acknowledged of history and nowadays, sino-west. He was committed to the study of knowledge and wisdom and their interrelationships. He wrote three books which were "Know the World and Know Yourself", "Dialectics of Logical Thoughts" and "Freedom of Human and Truth, Goodness and Beauty" from epistemology and methodology dimensions and established the philosophical system of "wisdom". As to the research on the history of Chinese philosophy, he studied morality and human carefully. He made a creative picture of logical development of Chinese philosophy in the long historical period from Premier Qin to 1949. He created his own philosophy and left two books which were "The Logical Development of Chinese Ancient Philosophy" and "The Revolutionary Process of Chinese Modern Philosophy" to construct a system of philosophical history which unified history and logic. He established his own philosophical system on the premise of insisting on Marxist philosophy. His thoughts were extracted from impacts and reforms of political society of modern China and reviews of them. They were rich in spirits of time and the experiences of social life, and rich in rethinking of nature and social life and wisdom of the reflection. The current academic research of his philosophy has already reached some achievements, but they are decentralized and one-sided, especially short of systematic study on his view of philosophy. So the study mainly focuses on giving systematic summary of it and concentrates on extracting his systematic answer to the basic questions which are what philosophy is, what philosophy is for and how to philosophy. And it sums up his exposition on the dialectic relationship between science and philosophy, knowledge and wisdom and how to "transfer knowledge into wisdom", and his view to the value and task of philosophy, and how to "transfer theory into method and turn theory into morality". Meanwhile the study summarizes Feng Qi's philosophical thoughts on the background of modern times, compares with the thoughts of famous philosophers who are Hu Shi, Feng Youlan and Mou Zongsan, points out the characteristics and inspiration to nowadays and gives a specific and objective evaluation on his view of philosophy.
