MuDan is the most important poet of nine-leaf poetry school, and one of the most important poets in Chinese new-poetry history. From the day when he began to be known in 1940's, he has been taking part in constructing Chinese new-poetry with his devotion, his talent and his heart. MuDan's life is full of pain and misery, however he never yielded to it. With his outstanding sensitivity and bearing, he presented a poet's breadth of mind and grand personality.
