Marc Bloch is named as "the father of the contemporary comparison historiography". His compare historiography is mainly reflected in his thesis Toward a Comparative history of the European societies. In this article he not only elaborates theoretically the study method of the history comparison for the first time, but also combines a series of problems in the European social history research and elaborates how to make use of the method to look for a way to solve the problem. In the meantime, it is also a polestar of a series of history comparison research books, such as Feudal Society. In Feudal Society, Marc Bloch successfully uses two kinds of comparison methods to study the feudalism doctrines in all European countries and to study it from the comparison of Japanese feudalism doctrine with European. He tries to investigate the feudalization general characters and regional particularity in Europe by the comparative method, and explain further that the feudalization as a kind of society form has its catholicity and particularity. However, he just compares them outwardly, doesn't find out the real reason of the catholicity and particularity, therefore he didn't solve the problem which he wished to solve.
