The vast territory and abundant resources of China gestate the offspring, and cause the form of the special "ethical collective unconsciousness"—"local complex". This kind of mental gene of loving both earth and home is not only the main archetype of Chinese personality structure, but also the cultural source of the local sensibility of Chinese modern writers. No matter how the writers who own the allegation of westernization animadvert on the old and laggard nation, they are incapable of existing independently without the matrix ——"land". What does the "country "mean on earth? There're different circumscriptions and annotations in different times. As the one which is the homogeny with the "5.4"epoch,it was not only the corporeal carrier of the childhood memory, but also the cultural umbilical cord must be chopped. Since Lu Xun got rupture with his country, Tai Jingnong, Peng Jiahuang, Xu Jie, Wang Luyan, Jian Xian'ai also recounted rationally to reveal the darkness of feudalism and the blindness of people thoroughly from the various lays of Chinese countries such as marriage of ghost, execution and enlistment of able-bodied men, etc. By these, they expressed their deep love and hate of their countries. Being the illuminative local litterateur, Jian Xian'ai responded the call of "art for life"advocated by the Literature Seminar actively. His tenet of writing is arousing the consciousness of self-liberation and enlightening the people to struggle for the new age. He embodied his local sensibility, his taste and his philosophy thought by choosing and molding the peculiar zoology, climate convention, civilization character and the local sprit. He exhibited the dismal but actual prospect of Guizhou animatedly to the readers, made Guizhou and the people living there melt into the history of Chinese literature.
