Eye Movement Study On Cognitive Style For The Ebbinghaus Illusion

An eye trading method was employed to confirm the congnitive style for the Ebbinghaus illusion with model 504 eye tracker made in American science laboratory (ASL). According to the indices of illusion size and eye movement features ,we found that: (1)variables of cognitive factor, the size of induce circle and the number of induce circle can affect the evaluation of test circle in Ebbinghaus illusion. (2) significant difference n eye movement index exist in the variable of cognitive style ,induce circle number and induce circle size . In the zone of background, the field dependent group have more fixation numbers than the field independent group. The fix numbers in five-induece circles background are more than the four-induce one, the fixation number in background will increase according with the difference between the size of test circle and induce circle.
