Wang Gen, is one of Wang Yangming's disciples in the Ming Dynasty, the founder of Taizhou School. He offers much original ideas on the basis of Yangming's thought. He forms unique minds in innate knowledge, investigation of things in Huainai and Le Xue. As a result, he develops Yangming's thought in varying degrees in different angle and makes great contribution on Wang YangMing's thinking and even Li Xue in the Song and Ming Dynasty. This text mainly discusses Wang Gen's philosophy thought from three respects: Firstly, introduces Wang Gen's life and works, emphatically probes into Wang Gen " intuitive knowledge " content and characteristic, has compared the similarities and differences of " intuitive knowledge " between Wang Gen and Wang Yangming. Secondly, expounds his distinctive " investigation of things ". In my opinion, Wang Gen's most creative thoughts is " investigation of things in Huainai "and " body and life first ". Thirdly, explaines Wang Gen's teaching methods, namely happy theory which tell people " happy to learn, it studies to be happy ", thus attracted large quantities of working people from ground floor ,which has established the foundation for opening Taizhou School. Finally, this text attempts to make a just and sound appraisal on Wang Gen and his thoughts.
