We generally classify the Jing Qiang Opera as three stages,that is ,the period ofcommencement, the period of development ,the period of degeneration.Jing Qiang Opera hadcome into being after the Yiyang Qiang Opera of Ming dynasty spread to Beijing which hadbeen remoulded by actors or artists according to local words and pronunciation.Northerntune ,percussion instrument were also put into the tune of the Jing Qiang Opera. The JingQiang Opera gradually absorbed the component parts of Kunshan Opera and it graduallybecame tasteful when performed on the stage in Beijing over a long period of time.After theJing Qiang Opera had come into being it began disseminate from beijing to the other areas.Tothis extent,we can look the Jing Qiang Opera as refinded Kunshan Opera.And it was alsoappointed as an operatic tune in the imperial court of Qing dynasty.This is the reason why wealso can call it the court's Yiyang Qiang Opera.In addition, Yiyang Qiang Opera was alsocommonly called Gao Qiang Opera,so we can also call it Beijing's Gao Qiang Opera whichexpended to the areas of Hebei province in the later period of Qing dynasty.Because it wasperformed in Gaoyang county and Anxing county dominantly,it was also named Northern GaoQiang,Hebei Gao Qiang or Gaoyang Gao Qiang.At the same time,Yiyang Qiang and it'scondensed name Yi Qiang were also used continually.The whole dissertation consists of five chapters.The Intoduction is about themotive,aim,method,data,the main contents and viewpoints,the present situation of research theon Jing Qiang Opera.The Chapter One is about the origination of the Jing Qiang Opera.TheSecond Chapter is about the Yiyang Qiang Opera of Qing dynasty.The Third Part is about theJing Qiang Opera among the people which consists of the metropolitan Jing Qiang Opera, theYiyang Qiang Opera performed in the palace of princes,Hebei Gao Qiang Opera andMinguo's Kunyi Opera.The Chapter Four is about the connections between the Jing QiangOpera and the other three operas.The last Chapter is about the art forms of the Jing QiangOpera which consists of accompaniment,ways of singing,helping tune,datong,potai,andgundiao.
