A majority of materials of the thesis comes from fieldwork .The field working thesis collecting the materials from the officials, intellects, storytellers, and villagers shows a social gathering of organization of storytellers at MaJie village, including its history, status in quo, and future.The thesis analyses the causes of the glory of a social gathering of organization of storytellers at this village from backgrounds of storytellers, conventions and characteristics of MaJie villages , and explores the causes of the decline of a social gathering of organization of storytellers at the village in relative aspects.
