The Research On The Folk Belief Since The Ming And Qing Dynasty In The Ancient Village Of The North Of Guangxi

Folk belief is an ancient and complex historical cultural phenomenon,and constituted a major part of folk culture.Investigation of folk belief will contribute to the understanding of the life of the common people, and the social culture as well as the traditional social order of China.At present,although the research achievement on the folk belief is abundant,but the energy of scholars is limited.So their research is not likely involved in every corner of rural areas in China.The research on folk belief has a lot of space. Based on this, the author selected a ancient villages of north guangxi as the research object,elaborating the situation, characteristics and change of the folk belief in Si-tang township of Lingui county as a representative of the folk belief in the ancient village of Guangxi,discussing the relationship of between folk belief and village,the position and the function of folk belief in the rural society and how to use the positive influence of folk religion for village construction.The study is based on the data findings from the three fieldworks,and using anthropology, sociology and the investigation of the historical analysis method. The paper can be divided into three parts as follows:Firstly, the author cardinged and descriped the situation and the evolution of the folk belief of Yankou village in detail.All of this is base on the survey.In Yankou villagc,there are some believes which were uique, excepting some tradditonal beliefs.For example,Zhao tuo belief,Fengshui belief,Xizhi belief and etc. The folk belief in Yankou village has four characteristics,such as complexity, utilitarian, confluent, secularity and etc.Secondly,the author mainly analyze the influence of folk belief to the local villages.Because of the folk belief,the chances of contact between peoples is increasing.So,two belief circle were formed.Moreover,folk belief has other influences to the village,becoming public places dissolving the villagers’contradiction, integrating the village and controlling the society. Thirdly,the author mainly discuss two issues.The former issue is to discuss the fading of the folk belief,the latter one is to explore the pathway which is advantage to the development of the local villages.
