Both Bulgakov and Maruquez take suppositive forms in their novels to reflect the reality, which makes them look alike. In this dissertation, with The Master and Margarita, the last works of Bulgakov, and One Hundred Years of Solitude, the most famous works of Marquez, as examples, their magic worlds are deeply explored mainly by the use of textual analysis method, and the uniqueness of their artistic worlds is analyzed. The chapter one focuses on how Mr. Bulgakov and Marquez construct their magic worlds in their works in suppositive forms. It can be found that both of them, albeit in different ways, make the reality into a magic and illusive world. The second part intends to explore the inner philosophical meaning of their magic worlds. Through studying their works, we can see that they have thoroughly different attitudes to the magical reality. Wearing the mask of madness and looking the world all around critically, Bulgakov went against the trend of the times and thought extramundane questions on the fate of beings, while Marquez went along with the world as the rational speaker of the times, probing into the fate of Latin-American and searching for the way out for modern society. The third chapter traces back to the origins of their magical worlds and their possible factors by studying their family life, respective literature tradition and the influence of contemporary circumstance.By comparison, we can go closer to the two masters, unveil their mysteries and see them more clearly.
